What a 1kVA Generator Can Run
A 1kVA generator is designed for light power needs. Here's what it handles comfortably: phones, tablets and laptop charging, LED lighting, a 12V camping fridge, a small TV, a CPAP machine, and low-draw appliances like a toaster or electric kettle one at a time.
What it won't run: a caravan rooftop air conditioner, a microwave, an electric hot water system or any high-draw appliance. If you need to run an air conditioner from your caravan, you'll want to step up to our 2kVA Honda EU22i at minimum.
Camping and Caravanning
The Honda EU10i is the most popular camping generator in our range for good reason. It fits in the boot of a car, runs quietly enough for most powered campsites, and produces pure sine wave power that's safe for sensitive electronics like laptops and CPAP machines. It'll run for up to 3.2 hours on a full tank at rated load, or longer at lower loads, so it's well suited to an evening at the campsite without constant refuelling.
For caravanners who need to charge devices, run a small TV or power overnight medical equipment, the EU10i delivers reliable output in a package that fits in virtually any storage bay. It's also parallel capable, meaning if you find yourself needing more power down the track you can connect two EU10i units together to double the output without buying a larger generator.
Home Backup (Light Use)
A 1kVA generator isn't a whole-home backup solution, but in a short outage it'll keep a fridge running, charge your devices and power your lights while you wait for the grid to come back.
