The Solution
The installation of Blue Diamond Machinery's custom built load banks.
With the help of Blue Diamond Machinery, FMG had access to 4 (100kW, 200kW, 400kW & 500kW) custom built load banks to ensure all on-site generators were optimised and capable of running throughout the entire operation. Load banks aided with generator servicing, generator set exercising/testing, underloading prevention and battery discharge and UPS systems exercising.
Auto Load Share Mode:
Reads the CT signal from the generator to automatically increase and decrease the load step ot the the load bank, keeping the generator running a safe load range.
Remote stop function:
This function is used to immediately shed load. In a situation where the generator is used as a simulated load for standby generators, if a mains power failure occurs, the load bank can remote stop and reverse the capacity of the generator for back up power supply.
